Tiago Ralha completed his sociology degree at the “Universidade Nova de Lisboa” in 1998. He started working as a scholarship award winner in social and human science research centres at the same institute (SociNova and CEOS), being involved in research projects in areas such as migrations and high risk behaviour.
Since 2001 Tiago has collaborated with Númena both in the preparation of research projects conceived in this research centre and in other projects which have been carried out there.
Between 2002 and 2006 he was involved in tasks associated with the management and development of Númena, carrying out management jobs therein. From 2008 to 2012 he was member of the fiscal council of this association.
Until 2013 Tiago coordinated conjointly with Isabel Freitas an anti-discrimination resources centre on the Internet (Pontemargem) and within it he coordinated also a project on special needs and disability in Portugal. He was a member of the Portuguese Focal Point team of the RAXEN network which functioned in Númena, between 2001 and 2010, under the European Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA).
