> MIGUEL FARIAS
Dr Miguel Farias completed his doctorate in experimental psychology at Oxford University in 2004. He did his undergraduate studies at the "Universidade de Lisboa" and was a co-founder of Númena in 2001.
He is currently a research associate at the Ian Ramsey Centre, Oxford University, where he is he is investigating the neural correlates of religious beliefs, as well as the possible effects of such beliefs on pain modulation. His main research interests are in the areas of psychology of religion, consciousness, cross-cultural psychology and individual differences.
